We used Martin for our wedding in July 2008 after witnessing him exhibiting his work at a local wedding fayre. We were instantly drawn to Martin over other photographers we had seen, this was due to his friendly, professional manner and the excellent examples of his work on show.

Prior to our big day we met with Martin on a number of occasions including at our venue to discuss shots, the best spots for our photos and also to come up with a contingency if the weather was not kind to us. Martin excelled here showing his flexibility and creative mind to the full and was reassuring when we fretted about everything going to plan on the day. He is a really friendly guy and nothing was too much trouble, even when we showed him the huge list of photos we wanted taken on the day!

On the day of the wedding Martin was very prompt and organised himself and others to make best use of everyone’s time. Martins wife Linda came along on the day and while Martin was busy taking the posed photos, Linda did a great job of taking the natural reportage shots of our guests. Although we had asked for many photos to be taken, Martin whisked through these efficiently and kept us on schedule for the rest of the day without ever making us feel hurried. He was calm and relaxed at all times and this filtered through to us and the guests. They captured our day wonderfully.

Our photos were online within days so we could view them while we were on our honeymoon which was a really nice touch. On our return clear instructions and guidance was provided on the process of compiling our album. They have been very accommodating with any extra touches we have asked for. We had huge input into our album and were able to choose the photos and the design of each page. Linda has worked really hard putting the album together. We have the perfect memoir of our day.

Martin and Linda Bird of Martin Bird Photography have provided photography services at our events on numerous occasions and we have always been delighted with the results.

They are extremely professional in their approach in that they quietly get on with the job without causing hassle to the guests. Wedding Photography can sometimes be difficult to manage as it is quite time consuming and guests get bored but Martin takes the time before hand by meeting with the bride and groom to ascertain exactly what pictures they want to eliminate any time wasting on the day. Martin is by far one of if not the best Photographers in this area.

This year alone, Martin has provided photography at several events organised by The Main Event and two of them have been very high profile events namely the NSPCC May Charity Ball at the Haycock Hotel and a Diamond Wedding Anniversary for 100+ guests held at Belton Woods Hotel, Grantham where there was celebrity entertainment. Again, the photographs taken at these events were very good and both the client and guests were pleased with their pictures.
